Welcome to the Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS). You have the opportunity to choose between TRS Plan 2 and TRS Plan 3. The choice you make will be irrevocable, so it’s important to consider your decision carefully.

How long do I have to decide?

There are two different groups of TRS members who have the opportunity to choose TRS Plan 3, New members and Eligible Transfer members. Different rules apply to each group. Please see Am I a New Member or an Eligible Transfer Member? for information to determine which group you belong to.
